Pallet repairs and recycling
We refurbish pallets to reduce waste.
Every pallet which comes in is hand-sorted, examined and repaired to its original specification by our highly skilled workforce.
Reconditioned wood is used wherever possible; our stripping machines enable us to recycle more wood from damaged pallets, and all wood waste is recycled.
All recutting of boards is carried out on our environmentally efficient machinery, where boards are measured and cut to desired lengths, creating the least amount of waste.
All of our wood waste is reprocessed onsite
When it's not possible to reuse wood, we reprocess it.
Wood waste and offcuts are collected from our cutting and manufacturing areas, fed through our onsite shredder to produce woodchips.
We then use the woodchips as fuel for our 250kw Biomass boilers, which provide our on-site heating and hot water!
Our Kiln and Heat Treatment centre has been adapted to run on the heat from our wood waste.
No wood waste is sent to landfill!
Creating wood briquettes from sawdust
All of the sawdust generated by our cutting machinery is collected and reprocessed to manufacture 50mm Wood Briquettes.
These are available to both commercial and consumer customers.
